Trinity Jazz Festival January 18th-Roseanna Vitro- 1015 Holman St., 8:15 pm. Concert

The Trinity Jazz Festival (https://www.trinityjazzfestival.com/) is a yearly event presenting distinguished artists from Houston who’ve carved out a career in Jazz Music, performing and teaching around the world. Roseanna Vitro began her dedicated journey in music in 1972 where she began studying jazz with veteran vocal, sax musician Ray Sullenger. After studies and introductions to Bob Henschen and the great tenor sax man, Mr. Arnett Cobb, Roseanna became a part of Houston History. She returns to Houston as a Grammy Nominated Jazz Vocalist with 25 years of teaching Vocal Jazz, two U.S. Ambassador Tours for the Kennedy Center and Jazz at Lincoln Center. Roseanna released her 14th album, “Tell Me the Truth” in 2018. Mark Soskin is a world famous pianist, educator, known for 17 years with Sonny Rollins, over twenty years tenure at the prestigious Manhattan School of Music in NYC. He is in demand all over the world touring and teaching. He currently records for Steeplechase Records. Roseanna and Mark have arranged and worked together on three albums, the Grammy Nominated Motema release, “The Music of Randy Newman, The Music of Clare Fischer and Tell Me the Truth.” Each recording is a new musical statment.
