Trinity Jazz Festival - Houston 2020 - Roseanna Vitro & Mark Soskin in Concert

The Trinity Jazz Festival (https://www.trinityjazzfestival.com/) is a yearly event presenting distinguished artists from Houston who have carved out a career in Jazz Music, performing and teaching around the world. Roseanna Vitro began her dedicated journey in music in 1972 where she began studying jazz with veteran vocal, sax musician Ray Sullenger. After studies and introductions to Bob Henschen and the great, Arnett Cobb, Roseanna became a part of Houston History. She returns to Houston as a Grammy Nominated Jazz Vocalist with 25 years of teaching Vocal Jazz, two U.S. Ambassador Tours for the Kennedy Center and Jazz at Lincoln Center. Roseanna released her 14th album, “Tell Me the Truth” in 2018. Mark Soskin is a world famous pianist, educator, known for 17 years with Sonny Rollins, over twenty years tenure at the prestigious Manhattan School of Music. He is in demand all over the world touring with Steven Smith’s group. He’s currently recording for Steeplechase Records. Roseanna and Mark have arranged and worked together on Ro’s last three albums, Grammy Nominated, “The Music of Randy Newman, The Music of Clare Fischer & Tell Me the Truth.” Each recording totally different but all making a statement.

Jazz Singers, Students, Instrumentalists who dig singers, I am starting a Monday night Series at Tavern on the George -361 George St. -New Brunswick, New Jersey.

1st Set - Roseanna Vitro & pianist, Jason Teborek.

2nd Set - Sit in's, guitar, pianists, bassists, horns.. No drums on site yet, but we will grow with your support. Students are welcome, old pro's are welcome. As a teacher, this will be interactive "if" you want feedback. July 1st., 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th.

She received a diagnosis two weeks before she passed recently of aggressive breast cancer. Our community is heartbroken. We will celebrate her life January 29th at Ovations Jazz Club.
